Article : Fun Birthday Invitations for Kids
If your child has an upcoming birthday, one of the first things you will need are birthday invitations. Invitations should be sent out around four weeks before the party, and should include information such as who the party is for, the date, time, theme and RSVP deadline. This should be within two weeks of the party date so you can purchase the right amount of food and party favors. Selecting, or even making invitations for your child's birthday party can be a lot of fun as there are many creative choices out there.
The type of birthday invitations to choose depend on the age of your child, first and foremost. For an infant or very young toddler you might just call or email your invitees. Older children will want formal invitations sent to friends and classmates, and may even want to help select them. There are invitations featuring all kinds of beloved characters from cartoons, shows and movies. For example your little girl might want a Disney princess theme, or your little boy might choose a train theme or a Spider-Man theme, just to name a few examples.
You can even make your own birthday invitations for kids using special computer software. This invitation maker software is usually billed as stationery software and can be downloaded online or purchased at many stores where computer software is sold. These programs are easy to use, you usually just select the type of stationery you want to make, choose from a graphic or upload your own, enter the custom text then print. Make sure to use heavyweight paper or card stock so the invites won't be too flimsy. If you don't want to use computer software, enlist the help of your child and make invitations by hand.
Your local craft store is a great place to shop when buying invitation making supplies. Many of the same supplies used for scrapbook making can serve a good purpose. As mentioned before, choose card stock or heavy paper so the invitations are sturdy. For handmade invitations, you could go with your child's favorite theme and add stickers or glued decorations that coordinate. Scrapbook supplies include all kinds of little illustrations that can be glued, letters and numbers, and more. You might even want to make copies of a photo of your child and put it on the front of the invitation for a truly personal touch.
Kids love helping with things, especially birthday invitations. If your child is old enough to write, let them fill out information such as their name on the invitation and if they are handing them out to classmates, the name of the invitee on the envelope. This gives them handwriting practice and allows them to help out. There are so many creative ideas for birthday invitations, if your child is old enough to let you know their preferences you can choose or make incredible invites for the upcoming celebration. Even if you're planning for a very young child, there are lots of ways to make the invitations special.

So you're having a birthday party? Running a little bit behind on your planning? Need invitations you can print in the
next five minutes? Making your birthday invitation is fast and easy with printable invitation software.
Here's a sample for you to see featuring one of our cartoon characters. We'll walk you throught this step by step.
The above sample is one of the ready to use samples included with printable invitation maker.
Just launch the software, and browse through one of the included birthday samples. Birthday themed
projects usually begins with birthday. You can also start from scratch if you prefer, but its highly
recommended to start with one of the sample birthday projects. If you like to include your own picture or
clipart, say yes in step one, otherwise just move on to the next step. If you chose an existing sample
software moves you two steps forward to "Provide Details" screen -- since that's all that you need to do.
However, you can always move back to choose a different theme or birthday invitation template that you prefer.
There's almost something everyone.
Invitation Maker provides a very easy interface to use -- simplicity was the key in design.
In the Detail section, you can add information specific to the birthday -- just personalize
your invitation however you want here. Some verses have also been added to help you in composing your
personalized invitation.
Next thing to do is review your invitation. Here you can customize the font, move text and image elements
around to enhance your design better and give your custom birthday invitation the personality it deserves. We recommend saving your invitation here
also, so you can come back to it some other time -- perhaps if you prefer to print at a later time.
Next step is print/send/Save. At the time of this writing, invitation maker 1.0 only allows you to print two invitations per page.
This will change in the next version which is due out soon. You can also send your invitations via email to friends.
Thats it!
